The Ukrainians have shown that they understand manoeuvre warfare. This requires well-trained soldiers with their own initiative at the front or (far) behind the enemy line, and you go for logistics and command centers first. The Russian army with its rigid command structure (much like Russian society) can almost only wage a war of attrition. Manoeuvre warfare is virtually the opposite, you can even inherit supplies and ammunition from the enemy, as it has now happened in the counter-offensive in the Charkiv region.
